Aloha! My name is Ruby and I'm the owner and founder of Sugar Happie LLC.  I'm happily married with 3 uniquely awesome kids.

Like many stories, I'm born and raised on Oahu, and proud to be an island girl. I grew up in a Filipino home baking and cooking in the kitchen with the ladies in my family.  So naturally, i took joy in baking and learning recipes passed down.  I'm a self taught learner, but after taking some cake decorating classes, baking cakes and desserts started off as a hobby.

 In my earlier years, baking was mostly for family and friends. I tried to kick off selling cakes as a side business, but with life, I had made the decision to hold off on pursuing that dream. Then after many years, some time in 2017, my passion for baking sparked again. So, after much thought and prayer, in 2018, Sugar Happie LLC became a reality. 

My goal is to create custom cakes, delicious desserts, and treats inspiring from traditional island favorites, my Filipino culture, and to new ideas! I'm always learning new techniques and experimenting with different flavors to bring you delicious desserts. And my moto is "if its something my family would eat and love, then its something others will also enjoy." 

I'm so thankful to my husband, my daughter who volunteers with cake decorating, and two boys, who've  been my biggest supporters and best taste testers. To see how far I've come, its been such a blessing. 

I am truly grateful for my customers that entrusts us with your special events and occasions.  It is truly my joy to share my love of baking, to instill my God given skills, and creative aspects with everyone.
